A great and long sold-out book that looks at the history of AIDS activism undertaken by various artistic collectives in New York between 1979 and 1989. Among these once-controversial, now-legendary collectives were Gran Fury, the Silence = Death Project, Gang and DIVA TV. The book is mostly text but features a lot of archive photographs of protests, graphic and art works/installations, etc. Book in good condition but with creases on cover and signs of age.
