One of the best exhibition catalogues made on Mike Kelley’s art and published in conjunction with the retrospective show held at the Whitney Museum of Art in the 1990’s. Documenting his practice, performances and pieces through dozens of photographs and documents, the book is also packed with essays by various authors (Dennis Cooper, Jutta Koether, Kim gordon,…) examining the diverse influences - countercultures, contemporary art, rock and roll, social commentary and pop culture - that provide together the context for the witty and twisted art of one of the most singular and inventive artists of this century. Hard to find. In good condition overall with minor creases, signs of age and small stains.
